Kathryn Blair

Kathryn acts as General Counsel for JBIS. She has over 15 years of top-tier legal experience, having practised with two national firms in Calgary and a securities boutique in Vancouver. Kathryn's extensive transactional experience includes representing start-ups to multinationals in complex cross-border M&A transactions, public and private offerings, international business restructurings and integrations, and corporate structuring. This experience and the inherent uncertainty of business transactions have taught Kathryn to approach legal problems from a practical, solution-focused perspective.

As the former owner and operator of a microbrewery, Kathryn also brings a personal understanding of the demands of business and an entrepreneurial drive. Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys travelling and outdoor activities with her family, including hiking, biking, and paddle-boarding. Kathryn received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Calgary and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
